1. Fitoria, the Pedrera, Villaperi, Folgueras and the Corredoría

The mountainside of Mount Naranco offers the possibility of seeing towns and a countryside in which human existence dates back to prehistory.
In the last years some rural tourism initiatives have been developed.

The village of la Corredoria, 2 km away from Oviedo, has become one of the residential areas with the greatest potential. Don’t forget to visit the Fountain of the four Spouts.

The suelta del gochu (the release of the pig) is another tradition of the Fitoria Festival.

The Finnish Track is one of the places which mixes together both rural and urban Oviedo.

Among the many interesting places worth seeing around the area are La Cogolla’s Cloister, the Passionist Sisters’ Convent, where the brain of Saint Gemma is kept as a relic, and the Convent of Discalced Carmelite Nuns or the Mojon Leguario of the Corredoria.
