Opera Season: Oviedo has a remarkable Opera Season held at the Campoamor Theatre. The first season took place in 1948.

In the course of its life some of the best-known operas of such authors as Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, interpreted by the most famous singers as Alfredo Kraus, Plácido Domingo, Lucciano Pavarotti, Montserrat Caballé... have been performed.

It’s so successful that an increase in the number of titles and performances is being considered.
