"Green Oviedo"
  • Oviedo Greenway, Its origin is the reuse of the former narrow gauge railway tracks which linked Oviedo and Fuso de la Reina-connection with the lines from and to Collanzo and Pravia. It amounts to as many as 7.8 Km (one way), which, starting from the already referred to “Winter Park” carries us across the rural districts of the Municipality along an easy-to-follow way, suitable for every kind of walker and cycling tourist. Near the 2.5 mileage point, in the former FEVE station, there appears the so-called Nature classroom of La Manjoya, where different activities, events and exhibitions for children are frequently arranged.

  • La Zoreda Woodland, located in La Manjoya, some 3 Km. from Oviedo with a surface area of 30 Ha. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • The Water Way, which runs by the rivers Nalon and Nora, between El Furacón (Asturian for big hole) and Priañes dam. Along the way we can find several recreational and rest areas, being the final part of the pathway the one that offers the most superb views.
  • El regueral Greenway, recently arranged, with a roadbed made of pressed stone, that cuts across the beautiful landscape of the Oviedo countryside, area of chestnut tree woods from which it is possible to see a beautiful view of Caces and Las Caldas upon the river Nalon. In addition, it is possible to view the Castle of Las Caldas deep into the woods, and farther away the Aramo Range in its full splendour.
